Ninja Akasaka
...
Ninja Restaurant definitely wins points for creating one of the most fascinating and memorable dining experience ever. As suggested by its name, the restaurant has an underlying ninja theme from its interior filled with secluded private dining rooms along with incredibly creative ninja themed Japanese food. Waiters dressed as ninjas guides diners through “Ninja training”, creeping through a secret passage with a draw bridge and hidden doorways which lead to the dining area. Others sneak up with menus and food, and there’s also an itinerant magician.
The menu is written on a long scroll presented by your ninja waiter with a huge selection of unique dishes to choose from. Throughout the course of your meal, the ninjas ensure that you are thoroughly entertained with magic tricks and various table side demonstrations.
It’s good, harmless fun and very popular. Food is Japanese with plenty of Western tweaks – just go for the sushi if you get tired of reading the lengthy menu scroll, or splurge on a dinner course (from ¥5,700) for the full monty. This certainly isn't the cheapest theme restaurant in Tokyo, but it just might be the best.
